Make Rookie's Your Home Page
If you make Rookie's your home page, you can be sure that you will be kept up to date with what's happening on the Internet. Rookie's home page will be displayed everytime you open your Web Browser.
This Is How You Change Your Startup Page, *It's Easy*
Valuable TIP's:
1) Print this page so that you can refer to it as you go.
2) To find out which browser version you're using, click your browser's Help menu, and select
About Navigator or Communicator or About Internet Explorer.
If You Are Using Netscape Navigator Version 4.x or above:
1. Click on the "Edit" menu
2. Choose "Preferences"
3. Under "Category", click "Navigator"
4. In the Location box enter http://www.rookiescomputers.com
5. Then click "OK"
If You Are Using Netscape Navigator Version 3.x and below:
1. Click on the "Options menu"
2. Choose "General Preferences"
3. Select the "Appearance tab"
4. In the Startup section, click "Home Page Location" button
5. Enter http://www.rookiescomputers.com in the text field
6. Then click "OK"

If You Are Using Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 5.x and above:
1. Go to http://www.rookiescomputers.com
2. Click your browser's "Tools" menu
3. Select "Internet Options"
4. Click the "General tab"
5. In the Home Page section, click "Use Current"
6. Then click "OK"
If You Are Using Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 4.x and above:
1. Go to http://www.rookiescomputers.com
2. Click your browser's "View" menu
3. Select "Internet Options"
4. Click the "General tab"
5. In the Home Page section, click "Use Current"
6. Then click "OK"
If You Are Using Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 3.x and below:
1. Go to http://www.rookiescomputers.com
2. Click your browser's "View" menu
3. Choose "Options"
4. Click the "Navigation tab"
5. Click "Use Current"
6. Then click "OK"
All Done.
Typical mistakes include:
1) Not including "http://" in URL address: www.rookiescomputers.com
2) Use of "Upper Case Letters" where "Lower Case Letters" are required: http://www.RookiesComputers.com
3) Use of commas instead of periods in URL: http://www,rookiescomputers.com
4) Use of backward slashes "\\" instead of forward slashes "//"in URL: http:\\www.rookiescomputers.com
5) Misspelling of web site address: http://www.rookiecomputer.com
Notes and Tips:
1) You will not see that you have changed your Default home page until you click on the "HOME" button, or "Refresh" button, or "Reload" button, or if you completely restart your browser.
2) If the complete URL address is not known, try using ONLY the domain name without the directory or file designations, EG: If the URL is http://www.rookiescomputers.com/inf/adult.html and it wont work, just type in http://www.rookiescomputers.com insted of http://www.rookiescomputers.com/inf/adult.html
